But that’s not the way manager Sam Ricketts sees it.
He knows he may long be judged by what happened in the first 45 minutes just over two weeks ago.
There’s no doubt Saturday’s slender victory wasn’t as easy on the eye but it was equally as important.
Even more so perhaps. Stuart Beavon’s winning goal means it wasn’t to be three games winless.
The Red Dragons are still up there and their manager is happy with substance over style.
“You need to win your home games first and foremost,” he said.
“We did that. We may not have been 4-0 up at half-time like the last match here but I don’t think that will happen very often!
“We can’t just win one way. We need to be able to grind it out, battle until the end, and we did that.
“We need to be solid when we need to be and as much as we want to play free-flowing football it just isn’t possible every week.
“We still need to get better but it was an important win.”
