Salford Extend Unbeaten Run And Must Avoid Complacency

Salford City can't get complacent says joint manager Bernard Morley after they made it eleven league games unbeaten last Saturday.

The Ammies won 1-0 at Gainsborough Trinity to stay level on points with leaders Harrogate Town - watch match highlights here.

Mike Phenix scored the only goal of the game before half-time to make it eleven unbeaten in the league.

Understandably, Joint boss Morley has called for more of the same from his side.

"I'm really pleased with the three points and the clean sheet which gives us the best defensive record in the division now," he said.

"It's a hard place to come, I think when you look at the league table and they're near the bottom of the table you can think it's going to be easy. They made it really difficult for us from minute one and fair play to Gainsborough for doing that.

"These are the games where, you look at the other sides around us, they get complacent and that going to Gainsborough is an easy three points. This league doesn't work like that.

"We can't get complacent and that goes for everyone involved with the club. We have to continue to work hard in training."
