The Ammies went back to the top of the National League this weekend thanks to two Adam Rooney goals at Maidstone United.
That happened as leaders Leyton Orient dropped two points at home to FC Halifax after Tuesday’s loss at Bromley.
It was a seventh win in eight games for Salford - and they have kept clean sheets in seven of those matches.
But the boss isn’t concerned about what’s going on at other grounds.
“There are three or four teams going for that top spot and we’re one of them,” Alexander told the club’s video service after the 2-0 win.
“But we have to make sure we continue to focus on ourselves and getting the points racked up.
“We can’t control anything elsewhere as I have said before.
“The players are in a determined mood. They are in a focused place which knows what wins us games.
“We’ve done nothing yet,” he adds. “We have been edging up the table in the last couple of weeks but there are still a few big games to go.”
