Noble, who amassed over 300 Football League appearances during an impressive career which started at Arsenal and included spells with West Ham United, Boston United, Bristol City, Exeter City and Rotherham United, has been a revelation during his time at Clarence Park after arriving two years ago following a second spell with Exeter.
Allinson was obviously delighted at the appointment and is adamant that 35-year-old Noble will thrive in the new player-coach position.
“This is just a natural progression for David in my opinion.” theSaints manager told the club`s official website. “He’s always been on hand to share his experience and help the younger players and when you have someone like that in your ranks then it will only benefit a side and you can see from his performances already this season that he’s prepared to lead by example.
“His experience is invaluable to St Albans City Football Club and I have no doubt that we’ll continue to thrive with David in his new player-coach role, although he intends to carry playing for as long as possible”.
