The hard-working Saints are continuing to put football for all at the heart of the National League South club through City Youth and now they have the Football Association’s seal of approval, too.
Hannah Coote was crowned Coach of the Year Disability Pathway for her sterling efforts and said: “It’s just mega rewarding. Seeing the smiles on everyone’s facing is just incredible to me.”
The FA explained why she won the award, saying: "Passionate about the positive impact that being involved in football can have on the lives of young people, Hannah works hard to create a fun and inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to enjoy playing the game.”
The gongs didn’t stop there as the club’s Commercial Manager Steve Mann collected the Lioness Award.
“Following the Lionesses inspirational victory in the Euros, this award celebrates efforts to increase opportunities for women and girls. Despite already having one of the largest female sections in the country, our winners continue to expand their offering in innovative ways,” the FA explained.
Coach Olivia said: “It’s quite a big shock, it’s surreal! We were just putting this on so women could have a chance to play football.”
