Russell: FA Cup Win Would Be A Big Positive

North Ferriby United's stand in captain Simon Russell says the Villagers know it will be a tough test as they travel to 1874 Northwich today.

The Villagers who lost 6-0 to Spennymoor Town in the Vanarama National League North during mid-week know how important it is to get back to winning ways, writes Tom Feaheny.

Russell looked ahead of the match saying.

“We need to have the right attitude before we even travel to Northwich. Everyone needs to be ready to play their part and put in a big shift for themselves, the club, managers and fans.

“A win would be a big positive. There hasn’t been enough this season. I want to hear about our strikers and not just how well Ross had done keeping us in the game.”

Ferriby have had cup success in the recent seasons when they won the FA Trophy during the 2015/16 season.
