It may have taken the former Forest Green striker a while to get going but he can’t miss at the moment for the Clarets.
Two goals this weekend against Hampton moved him on to 16 goals as his partnership with Scott Fenwick is become a fearsome threat in the National League South.
It’s four league wins in a row for Stringer’s side now after a Saturday’s 2-0 success over Hampton the Essex club are up to third.
The manager says that things are very much on the up for the promotion-hungry Clarets.
Stringer said: “Rhys has been outstanding, his goals were class and he is really doing the business for us. He’s a very good player.
“We’re playing well during a difficult period where the games are coming thick and fast.
“Hampton had a go on Saturday but we stood strong and took our chances really well when they arrived. It was a workman like performance.
“We have won five out of our last six games and that’s a very good return.
“All we want to do is keep winning, it’s all we can do. The boys have done well and with a bit of luck we can keep this little run of ours going.”
