Roberts A Chester Player Again Returning Nine Year Later

Chester have done something not very common - signed a player from big rivals Wrexham.

Kevin Roberts will play for the National League North club next season.

He arrives after his release from the Racecourse Ground at the end of last season.

He is no stranger to the club of course. He was a Chester player nine years ago, turning out for the club before they reformed.

The 29-year-old right-back was thrilled to be back where it al started.

“It’s great to be back at the club where I was from the age of 14.

“Roll on next season,” the defender wrote on twitter.

Joint manager Bernard Morley said: "He adds massive experience and can play in a number of positions. Kevin is a winner."
