One impressing in particular is 17-year-old Matthew Rowson. The FC Halifax teenager is earning rave reviews and is very much one to keep an eye on.
The talented attacker is our Vanarama Young Player of the Month - and those at the Shay think it’s a well-earned award.
First team manager Pete Wild said: “Matt has shown good quality in the games I have watched him, holding the ball up, bringing others into play and scoring goals.
“This has been rewarded with game time with the first team. We hope this helps with his development and encourages others to make the same steps.”
Mike Jeffries, the club’s Youth Team coach has been equally as impressed with the Shaymen starlet.
“He has been a good character on and off the pitch,” he said. “His performances have been good and are improving. Additional to this he has scored consistently over the past month, his performances also caught the eye of the first team.
“In the classroom his approach has been good and consistent which is crucial for any young player.”
