The Red Dragons are at home to Hartlepool this evening while the clubs ahead of them, Salford and Leyton Orient, have tough nights on the road

Ricketts told the club’s website the late events on Saturday underline what a tough league they are a part of.

“It’s a real strong league,” he said. “There are some big sides in the league all vying and pushing to get back into the Football League. It’s a really tight league.

“We were top until that injury-time equaliser went in against us at Chesterfield and now we’re third.
“It’s so very, very tight between the top teams in the league and that’s why it’s so relentless.

“You have to keep going, keep winning and see where it takes you.”
