The Dragons fell behind in the second-half to a wonder strike from Maidstone's Simon Walton.
Substitute Brad Walker hit back for the Welsh side to salvage the draw to keep Ricketts' side just a point off the top of the table.
"The level of performance was very high," Ricketts told the club's official YouTube service. "The first-half was up there with as good as we've played this year.
"It was disappointing to go behind but it was a great strike. It's the first time we've come back after conceding and got something from the game.
"It's a really good sign of where the players are at that we've come from behind and got what could prove to be a real valuable point.
"The goal got their tails up which gave them something to hang on for so it was really pleasing to peg them back."
Wrexham's next game is a crunch clash against top of the league Leyton Orient at the Racecourse Ground.
