Rest In Peace, John Moules

It is with deep sadness that the National League announces the passing of John Moules, former Secretary and Chief Executive of the League who passed away peacefully yesterday, Sunday 30th July 2023.

John was Secretary of the National League from 1994-1999 followed by Chief Executive from 1999-2008.

A period of 14 years outstanding service to The National League which were very instrumental in its development to be what we are now.

He has since played a big part in football, staying involved with the sport he loves.

He took on the challenge at Ebbsfleet United, joining as CEO as the club today took time to remember his service.

Taking on the role of Vice Chair of the Southern Counties East Football League, he spent his Saturdays watching the game that dominated his life.

He was also a valued member of the Kent FA Council, serving on various committees. As Chair of the Referee’s Committee, his support of officials' development following his own retirement was there for all to see.

He was took on the role of Vice Chair of the Kent County Football League before becoming General Secretary of the Kent Invicta League following its formation in 2011.

John will be very much missed by everyone in the League.

Our love and thoughts go out to John’s wife, Lois and all the family at this very sad time.
