Relegation? You're Joking! Wood Chief Is Confident

Boreham Wood chairman Danny Hunter has spoke of his disappointment in their performance last season but hopes they use it to spur them on.

Luke Garrard's men finished their 2018/19 campaign one place and eight points above the bottom four.

The season before that they were beaten promotion finalists at Wembley.

The Wood are one of the bookies favourites to be relegated this time around but Hunter won't be having any talk of that.

"If it goes wrong we’ll need to dust ourselves down and thank everyone for their effort – but trust me that won’t happen," he told the club's website.

"I sit firmly with the fans who were disappointed with the season [last season].

"We must now improve our staff and squad strength and if we can create and maintain some momentum over the next eight weeks, then I feel we’ll be bang on course for a top half finish and a crack at the play offs."
