Reid Returns To Wrexham To Complete Loan Time

By Steve Whitney

Alex Reid has returned to Wrexham until November 25th to complete the maximum time allowed for short-term loans.

Following the expiry of his initial loan period with the Dragons after the win over Eastleigh, the striker has returned to the Racecourse Ground from SkyBet League One side Fleetwood Town.

Reid`s first loan spell lasted fifty-five days, so under the rules he has thirty-eight days remaining on the maximum permissible for a short-term loan – which must end after ninety-three days.

Wrexham manager Dean Keates told his club`s official website: “I’m grateful to Fleetwood for allowing Alex to return and this second period will see him in the squad for another seven league fixtures.

“He certainly started with a bang when he first arrived and let’s hope for a few more goals over the coming weeks.

“I played alongside Alex at Rushall Olympic, so I know what he is capable of and he is certainly gaining experience by playing first-team football in the National League.”

To date, Reid has played a dozen times for the Reds, starting in nine games and scoring 3 goals.
