The striker joined the Vanarama National League North club at the start of pre-season, he spoke about the importance of breaking his personal deadlock and how the club can go far this campaign, writes Tom Feaheny.
"Obviously the first goal is massive for me, it starts me off for the season and it's also my first league goal for Tamworth aswell, so I'm really happy to get off the mark and hopefully many more to come.
He added: "The complete aim for the club this season is to go up, that's the aim of every club in this league but seeing how the boys are fitting together and how we've been playing in the past few games, I really can see us being up and around it this season.
"Personally for me, my aim is to play as many minutes as possible and hopefully score a shed load of goals. I also want to be part of a promotion winning side and with this Tamworth squad I don't think we'll be too far away from it."
Reid worked with Tamworth boss Andy Morrell at Wrexham before he got his move to Wolves and the forward said working with his ex boss again played a part in him joining.
"He played was a massive part in my choice to play for Tamworth, he gave me my real break in football when I was at a young age, so when I was given the opportunity to play under him again, it was something I couldn't turn down.
"He has helped me settle in right away, the boys have been incredible, I jumped at working with Andy again because I know how he wants to play and he knows what to expect from me."
Reid spoke about the competitiveness in the National League North, though he knew it would be a tough league.
"I have played at this level before when I was at loan at Telford last season so it's not something new to me, I'd say I was pretty used to playing at this level now.
"As for this season, there are a lot of teams showing good form early on and a lot of teams that will be up there come April time that have got off to a slow start, it's still very early doors and we'll see what the table is saying nearer the end of the season."
