Reds `Over the Moon`

....“over the moon” after seeing the Reds come from behind to win 2-1 at in-form and high-flying Harrogate Town in the Vanarama National League North on Saturday.

A delighted O'Neill enthused after the game: "We're extremely happy. It's a tough place to come - we've seen them, what they've done before and what sort of team they are, and to be fair to them this season l think they are going to be right up there.

"To come away from home and put that performance in, l thought from everyone to a man l thought we were excellent all the way (through) the team.

"You look through their squad - you've only got to look at the bench and the players that are not involved - they've got a good group together, they've got a good spirit and for us to be able to come here and do that l thought was just unbelievable from the first minute to the last - not just the first half, but the second half as well.

"We didn't get our heads down when they scored the free-kick, which was a great goal to be fair, and then we turned it round, got one of our own and then a bit of quality from Jordan Robertson - went back to basics for a little bit, we fought for every ball, won every first ball and we tried to win every second ball and had players in good areas and got the winner.

"The crowd were fantastic - we come away, they stick with us, they never budge an inch and they're behind you all that time, and l think that result there was for the supporters who come away every week.

"We have a lot of players with a lot of ability and it's getting used to playing football at the level that they're at - they're young players and to be able to show the quality that they've got sometimes you have to dig in and look at the other side of the game before your qualities can shine.

"Andi Thanoj, who's got undoubted ability as shown with that goal, and Jordan Robertson has shown with his goal, and everybody's dug in, got the ball into good areas and the quality's shown through - that's how we've won the game and we're over the moon - pleased for everybody," ended O'Neill.
