But the Red Dragons boss was delighted his players had enough left in the tank to punish Solihull Moors.
Wrexham closed the gap on leaders Leyton Orient to a point and pushed four clear of Salford with a 1-0 win at the Racecourse.
They have a game in hand over the table toppers as well as a fantastic title race just keeps on producing.
Barrow told the club’s official website that his players didn’t take their eye off the ball.
“It would have been easy for it to have been ‘after the Lord Mayor’s Show’ but it wasn’t, it was a really professional job,” said the boss.
“I think we got everything we knew we’d get.
“We knew from early on in the season Solihull are a team that don’t go away – both in a game and over the season.
“They’re good at what they do and it took a lot of concentration and energy to get three points.”
Barrow added: “It shows we can do a bit of everything.
“The team is built on strength at the back and it was another important clean sheet for us.”
