But he says he can’t wait to get his teeth into the meaty challenge of keeping Welling United in the division.
Owner Mark Goldberg has decided to hand control of the team over and a deal was quickly done with the former midfielder.
But his latest job is very different from the last one with the Wings only out of the drop zone on goal difference.
“There’s a lot of work ahead and we know what we’ve got to do,” he told Welling United TV.
“Everyone will get a chance - ultimately it’s down to the players to prove their worth.
“We have had numerous games watched on Tuesday looking for players, but it has to be right for the club.
“We need to work on things - there are a lot of gaps all over but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
To make things even more challenging, his first league assignment is a trip to Weladstone - the leaders near to flawless at home so far this season.
“We need to stop mistakes and find out where we’re going wrong,” Quinton said.
“We have Wealdstone this weekend, we know their strengths and we will prepare for that. We’ll be positive but we won’t roll over to anyone.”
