The striker someone Jay Saunders has had his eye on for some time.
It became clear pretty soon why. He scores inside five minutes as the Stones beat Folkestone 5-0 on Monday night.
The Republic of Ireland U21 internationally joins on a one-year deal following his release by Bournemouth, where he spent ten years.
Jay Saunders admitted he’s tried to sign Quigley on loan in the past, and said he was pleased to finally get his man.
He told the club’s official website: “We met the end of last week, Joe wanted to make sure it was right for him and I’m delighted to get it done.
“He’s someone I’ve liked for a long time. I’ve enquired about a loan in the past and when he left Bournemouth, I’ve had to be patient.”
Quigley was at Bournemouth on their rise to the Premier League but has also spent time on loan at Gillingham, Newport, Woking and, most recently Boreham Wood.
The 21-year-old told the club’s website “When I came down on Friday, it was a no brainer.
“I was at Boreham Wood with Blair [Turgott] last season so I know him but other than that I can’t wait to meet all the new lads.”
