Quakers Waiting For Fortures To Turn In Their Favour

Frustrated Tommy Wright feels Darlington are due a change of fortune at some point soon.

The Quakers took a 1-0 lead in at half-time at Chorley on Saturday but left defeated, going down 3-2 as the Magpies returned to the top.

It means Darlo will be two months without a win by the time they play Altrincham on Saturday.

Wright said last week he will not resign and feels he is the man to turn things around at the National League North club.

He called Saturday’s loss a missed opportunity as they didn’t take the chance to move clear of the bottom three.

Speaking on the club’s video service, the manager said: “Some of it we were unlucky, some of it was criminal on our part.

“We knew it was going to be a very difficult match and it proved to be that.

“I don’t think we defended badly but we still conceded three goals. We were unfortunate at times.”
