The Quakers are looking for a new boss after Tommy Wright took charge of his final game on Saturday.
The National League North club want to progress next season and possibly push for promotion.
On their advert encouraging CVs, the club stated: “We welcome applications in particular from women and Black & Ethnic Minority candidates and will guarantee an interview to suitably qualified individuals who meet the specification above."
Their diverse stance has been well received throughout the game.
Darlington’s assistant manager Alan White is to remain in his position, the club said this weekend.
A statement on Friday read: “Following discussions between the Darlington FC board and manager Tommy Wright, the decision has been agreed to part ways for the benefit of the football club, therefore Saturday’s home game against Leamington will be Tommy’s last game in charge.”
David Johnston, the club’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “This has been a difficult decision to make as Tommy is a talented young manager with a bright future ahead of him.
“As a board we have to balance that potential versus current results which ultimately haven’t been good enough this season. I would like to wish Tommy all the very best in his future career.”
