He was expected to stay at the Racecourse on loan from Huddersfield Town for the rest of the season.
But the Premier League club have recalled him and he has since joined League One Rochdale.
A club statement read: “Wrexham Football Club can confirm that striker Rekeil Pyke has been re-called by his parent club Hudderfield Town.
“The 21-year-old was scheduled to stay at the Racecourse until the end of the 2018-19, prior to the Premier League club exercising their right to re-call him early.
“In his second loan spell with the club, Rekeil has made 22 starts and five substitute appearances, scoring five goals.
“Everyone at Wrexham AFC would like to thank Rekeil for his efforts while at the club and we wish him well in his future endeavours.”
