Preview: Saturday’s National League North Programme

By Sam Elliott

There may be one National League North match stealing focus on Saturday.

But it’s not just about the title shoot-out between Chorley and Stockport County.

That said, it’s quite a big one!

So big in fact that we have produced a special preview as both sides look ahead to the game of the season.

You can read all about the first vs second six pointer elsewhere on the website.

The three other games follow Good Friday’s programme and there’s plenty of vital points on offer.

AFC Telford United are clinging on to seventh place but they know the sides around them are in good form.

Gavin Cowan’s Bucks can keep things firmly in their own hands if they win at Hereford.

It will take a lot for the division’s top scorers Altrincham not to qualify for the play-offs now.

Phil Parkinson’s team will hope home defeat to Brackley on Tuesday night won’t see any nerves set in.

A visit to already relegated Nuneaton can set their minds at rest after a great season.

FC United will be down if they fail to win at Alfreton. Manager Neil Reynolds hasn’t been able to turn the tide since coming in at the Red Rebels now need a miracle.

Saturday’s National League North fixtures:
Chorley v Stockport County (1pm)
Alfreton v FC United
