Port Borrow Oxford Keeper

By Steve Whitney

Goalkeeper Max Crocombe is poised to make his debut for Southport in the Vanarama National League at Kidderminster Harriers tomorrow.

The 22-year-old Oxford United keeper has come through the youth ranks and has Football League experience with Barnet this season and has been capped up to Under 23 level with New Zealand and has been included in the Kiwis international squad. He has also experience with Nuneaton.

Manager Paul Carden said: "Max has joined us until the second week in January. He comes highly recommended by my ex-playing colleague and Oxford United goalkeeping coach Wayne Brown. With Andy Coughlin injured and ruled out plus John Visconi not fully fit I needed to bring in goalkeeper and Max has recent matches under his belt."
