The National League club have confirmed the theme for their annual end of the season dress up.
It’s tradition at the Pools that an away match in the campaign’s final month sees them all slap on the make up or find a wig to go en masse to sign off the season in style.
But this season there will be an historic feel to it all - they’re going to Barrow as Medieval Knights.
In the past ten years they have gone as mimes, Smurfs, penguins, Thunderbirds, Oompa Loompas and even Bob Marley.
But this year it’s all going to be about St George’s Day.
Fancy dress co-ordinator John Pearson told the club’s website: “To take over 1,000 fans to Barrow for an end of season game with nothing really at stake is unbelievable.
“With it being St George’s Day the following day, it made sense for this year’s theme to tie in with that and no doubt there will be a focus on St George himself.
“Anyone who went to Tranmere last season could not have failed to enjoy the day, and the effort some fans went to with their face paint and costumes was brilliant.
“Hopefully this year’s game can be as colourful and as enjoyable for everyone as all the previous occasions and helps to send a positive message to the Club about the force they have behind them.
“Let’s hope this can be the start of Higgy’s Crusade!”
