Joe Cook is a centre-back who came through Sheffield Wednesday's academy and has impressed in pre-season games.
He moved to the Dorset area after being released by the Owls at end of last season.
In addition to his defensive duties, Cook has an eye for goal, and in last season's under-18 game against Hull City, he scored a hat trick in a 5-2 victory.

After two years playing in the USA with UNH Wildcats, Jack Dickson has returned to the UK and has re-signed for the Dolphins.
Dickson (pictured) helped Poole win the Evo-Stik Southern Premier before going stateside and was formerly with AFC Bournemouth.
A versatile player, Dickson is already a fans` favourite, his tenacity matching his obvious skill.
Matt Neale signed professional terms with AFC Bournemouth in February 2016 after joining the academy at the age of nine.
The winger fought back from injury to earn his first professional deal with the club, but was one of three under-21 players released in May 2017.
Like Cook and Dickson, Neale has impressed in pre-season and is a welcome addition to Tommy Killick's squad.
