Plenty of Twists and Turns in The National League's Midweek Action

It was a night for late goals and important away wins on another crucial midweek of National League action.

Harrogate Town cut the gap to Barrow to five points with victory over Chesterfield in a seven-goal thriller.

After initially opening the scoring then swiftly falling behind, Simon Weaver’s men drew level on the hour mark as Jon Stead doubled his tally for the evening.

Despite an equaliser Spireites equaliser via ever-reliable Scott Boden, Town’s Jack Muldoon secured all three points in added-time.

Elsewhere, FC Halifax Town moved up to third in the Vanarama National League with a 1-0 victory over Sutton United.
