The Pilgrims’ 2-1 win at Kidderminster impressed the manager and he can’t put his finger on why his team play with more freedom on their travels.
Win number six away from home was a far cry from last weekend when Elliott told his players to get their act together after losing to Altrincham at York Street.
“It’s been a long week, a very hard week. Last Saturday was difficult,” the Boston boss told the club’s video service.
“But I try to not hide away from things and the players managed to give a response.
“The away form has been good, but the home results aren’t good enough, I’m know that and we have to improve.
“It’s competitive every week and we just need to get on a bit of a run now.”
He added: “To a man the boys were fantastic.
“We have been accused of crumbling when we do behind or a team levels up against us, but we didn’t crumble.
“We showed we can mix it with the good teams and that we have got the spirit here to recover when things go against us.”
