Perfect, Even Without Parkin! Mills York Delight

They didn't have their powerful talisman Jon Parkin but did it matter to York City? Certainly not

Injured Parkin sat out their Vanarama National League North visit to Bradford Park Avenue but it wasn't really a contest.

The Minstermen won 5-0 to make it back to back away wins and already it seems the good times could be returning after two relegations in two seasons were suffered.

Even without Parkin, the fans' favourite, they were in great form which was a huge boost to manager Gary Mills.

The boss dedicated the derby win to his side's supporters who packed out the Horsfall Stadium to see their team ease to victory.

"It's lovely for the fans," Mills said.

"They have turned up in numbers and haven't seen that in a long time. We have got to build on that. We dictated, dominated, wanted to score, and kept a clean sheet. Overall, I am really pleased.
"Goal difference is always there," the manager commented on the club's official website.

"So it's important that we keep clean sheets and score as many goals as we can. We have conceded one goal in three games now which is good to see and we have created chances. Long may it continue."
