"At the end of the day we survived in the league, there is a lot to do on and off the pitch, the potential is there for this club," Pennock said.
"It has been a tough season for everyone, it is what it is, but we stayed up and really that is all that matters."
Pennock says work is already well underway when it comes to, what the squad will be for the 2018/19 season.
"There has been a lot of decisions made, recruitment will be key for this football club, some players already know where I want them here or not.
"I have already spoken to players about joining this club, I had two lists ready for if we stayed up and if we didn't, we can now focus on those players who I know can achieve great things in this league and possibly the Football League as well."
