The 2-1 win saw City move to a four game winning run as they climbed to sixth in the Vanarama National League North table, writes Tom Feaheny.
"It's great to win four on the trot as it quickly moves you up the league. We are delighted with that and it has backed up what we did against Darlington last week." Penney told BBC Radio York.
"If you have got form, you wanting to be taking it forward. We have got a bit of momentum now which we want to carry on. When you are winning, you want the games to come thick and fast, and they certainly are this week."
Midfielder Simon Heslop who looked set to leave the club on a permanent basis is now back in the fold, something Penney is pleased about
"He’ll train on Monday and, then, it’s the manager’s decision whether he’ll be involved on Tuesday night.
"Simon got his head turned by a club from a higher division and, quite rightly, he wanted to play in a higher division. Most players, if asked, do want to do that. But that has not happened. He's here for the next 18 months and he wants to play football."
