Palmer: Back To Basics Working Well For Guiseley

Ash Palmer, who has stood in as captain in recent weeks, says Paul Cox's approach to training and matches is helping the squad.

Guiseley have in recent weeks gone six games unbeaten in all competitions, gained a first round FA Cup replay and moved out the relegation zone, writes Tom Feaheny.

"Since the gaffer has come in, he has made everything really simplistic and clearly told everyone what he wants them to do and the lads are buying into it. We are going in the right direction.

“He has been really good since he has come in. We need to keep doing what we are doing, which is playing with a high tempo and keeping positive and hopefully reaping the rewards."

The Lions are next up against Bromley in the league this Saturday at Nethermoor Park with the defender hoping he can continue to impress and help his team.

"I've enjoyed the last few weeks, we are focused on that game then we have the replay in the FA Cup, so they are matches we can look forward to."
