Goals from Aaron Barnes and Elliott Romain ensured the Gulls made it seven points from a possible nine, writes Tom Feaheny.
"We have hit form at the right time, we have found a bit of consistency, and I think we've got a great chance," Owers told Devon Live.
"I'm very pleased obviously, especially for our supporters - they have turned up as I knew they would, and they have seen a classic away day - a good performance, the right result and an important three points.
"Three or four weeks ago it was all doom and gloom, and it has been even this week with some of the stuff being said about the club by some people.
"We have done nothing yet, it's only two wins in a row, but we have three good (home) games coming up now, and we need to keep this run going."
