Owers: Torquay Have Done All They Can This Easter

Torquay United boss Gary Owers know they must continue a winning run but he couldn't have anymore from his side this Easter.

A 2-1 win against Woking followed their Good Friday victory at Chester, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It was a tough game, nervous at times, played in difficult conditions, we had six points to play for at Easter and we have done all we can getting two wins," Owers told the club's website.

"We now have to regroup and go again in the next game."

The gap now to safety is four points, though the Gulls have played more, Owers says he couldn't ask anymore from his group based on recent games.

"They are doing all they can do, we have had four tough away games recently and picked up a good amount of points."

The scoring was opened from the spot by Brett Williams, with Owers talking about the importance of the striker.

"Brett is a good penalty takers, he has taken it nicely and given a good contribution to the club."
