The FA Cup headlines were written as the National League continued on an exciting day of action on all fronts.

Aldershot treated their fans to a performance they will never forget - a stunning 7-4 win at Swindon had it all.

Jack Barham bagged an incredible hat-trick in the 11 goal thriller, which the Shots lead 7-0 on the hour mark.

Also through are Alfreton - Kennedy Digie made sure to put Worthing to the sword.

Eastleigh and Boreham Wood met for the third time in three seasons in the competition and this time it was the Spitfires soaring. Two from Ludwig Francillette helped earn a 5-1 win.

Barnet survived with ten men for most of the match at Curzon Ashton to go through, Nicke Kabamba once again their go-to man.

Yeovil Town are through - they got the better of Gateshead, Rhys Murphy scored twice as they won 3-2.

Maidstone United are in the hat. Levi Amantchi loves the FA Cup and he scored again as they leave Chesham with a 2-0 win.

While Yeovil Town were making FA Cup headlines, the chasing pack applied the pressure in the National League South.

Aveley Town beat Weston-super-Mare 2-0 - the goals came from Sydney Ibie and Edunio Vaz.

Hampton & RB won for a sixth game in a row after Jake Gray’s winning goal at Dover Athletic.

Havant & Waterlooville’s struggles continue - they were well beaten 4-1 at Braintree Town, who looked primed for a play-off push.

Under-achieving Torquay United needed their 1-0 win over Bath City, Shaun Donnellan hit the decisive goal eight minutes from time.

Chippenham Town beat Eastbourne 4-2 in a thriller as the Sports’ tough start to full-time life continues.

In the National League North, South Shields left leaders Tamworth digesting a second defeat in a row.

Shields rise to second spot Jordy Mingoy’s winner in the big game at the top.

At the other end, Darlington gave their season a big boost by beating Farsley Celtic 2-1, Will Hatfield got what turned out to be the decisive goal.

Niall Watson grabbed Southport’s winner against Rushall Olympic, 3-2 it ended.

Josh Amis hit two goals as Warrington Town won 3-1 Gloucester City. Zian Walker ended Bishop’s Stortford’s barren run as they defeated Buxton by the same scoreline.

Elsewhere Spennymoor and Boston United fired blanks as Deon Sembie-Ferris pounced to earn as point for Peterborough Sports at home to King’s Lynn Town, who surged in front when Bartosz Cybulski conceded an 11th minute penalty.
