O's Always Deliver When It's Needed Beams Edinburgh

Justin Edinburgh thinks Leyton Orient passed a big test of character with flying colours on Tuesday night.

Orient are back on top after a second-half turn around against Eastleigh.

Things weren’t looking good when Paul McCallum got into his stride but their recovery was critical in the race for the title.

They now go to Sutton United on Saturday before a home game with Harrogate on Good Friday.

“It was a real test of character,” said Edinburgh after his side escaped dropping points for a third game in a row.

“I back these boys. I’ve got no doubts at all that when they have needed to deliver, they deliver.

“The victory was thoroughly deserved. We did let in two poor goals, but overall I thought we were excellent.

“We know every game in going to be a battle, after the past few games we had to get back to basics a little bit.

“I told the players that we’ve got to get back to what we know, and what we’re good at. We need trust and belief, firstly individually and as a group.”
