The forward rejected the club’s offer of a new deal to sign for ambitious Weston-super-Mare.

Salisbury striker Luke Hopper joins after manager Mark Collier convinced him to play his football in the National League South.
“Luke has been on our radar for a while now, he is a proven goalscorer and in fact has been top scorer in his past three seasons.
“His desire to join us was obvious following our conversations, his quality will certainly add to our forward options.”
But he was frustrated not to keep McCootie.
“Following discussions Nick rejected his offer and has decided to move - he was a pleasure to work and have around the place,” the manager said.
“He was very popular player in the dressing room and with the fans, I have wished him very well and thanked him for his time with us.”
