One Champion Is Crowned As Epic Title Race Rumbles On

We have our first champions, a record breaking striker and what is surely the greatest title race ever contested.

Congratulations to Ebbsfleet United, who sealed the National League South championship by beating Oxford City.

But National League race is very much still running - and Wrexham and Notts County meet on Monday both on 100 points after another incredible day.

Macaulay Langstaff is the highest scored in the competition’s history after he found the net again as his team beat Wealdstone 3-0.

They got back to the top after FC Halifax broke the hearts of 4,000 travelling fans.

Wrexham went ahead through Elliot Lee but the super Shaymen bit back as two goals from Millenic Alli earned a stunning 3-1 win.

It means they are both level on points going into the BT Sport epic on Monday.

Elsewhere, Torquay United have hope again at the bottom.

Asa Hall scored in the 2-0 win over Eastleigh, but Gateshead all but relegated Scunthorpe as Aldershot and Yeovil Town drew 1-1.

York City are surely safe now, they won 3-1 at Chesterfield, Paddy McLaughlin sealed the deal.

Dorking Wanderers aren’t and Woking’s 2-1 win saw them strengthen their grip on third place.

Southend United won again, Jack Bridge got them going against Maidstone United.

Inih Effiong could afford to miss a penalty and still celebrate as his winner earned the win for Dagenham at Boreham Wood in the live game.

Altrincham battled back to draw 2-2 at Oldham, Tyrese Sinclair with the late leveller as Solihull Moors and Maidenhead drew 1-1, Kane Ferdinand equalised late for Alan Devonshire’s team.

Bromley could have done with a win against Barnet but it ended 1-1.

Ebbsfleet confirmed the National League South title by defeating Oxford City 3-0 thanks to magical Dom Poleon hat-trick.

There were more massive scorelines elsewhere at Worthing thumped Concord Rangers 7-0, three players scored twice.

It was 6-1 to Slough Town against Chippenham - George Alexander notched four goals.

Michael Folivi hit two goals as Chelmsford City beat Farnborough 3-2.

It was a good day elsewhere for Taunton, Hampton, Eastbourne, Dulwich Hamlet and Braintree Town.

It’s title race on in the National League North.

AFC Fylde went down 2-1 at Spennymoor, reliable Glen Taylor got them both.

King’s Lynn Town close the gap to two points - Gold Omotayo hit two as the chasers thrashed Kettering Town 4-1.

Buxton’s great run is over after Ashley Hemmings helped Kidderminster to a 1-0 win with a very early goal at Aggborough.

Chester and Chorley played out a 0-0 draw.

AFC Telford United aren’t down yet - a 2-1 win at Brackley Town was earned by Montel Gibson.

Elsewhere is was a winning Good Friday for Alfreton, Curzon Ashton, Boston, Bradford PA and Leamington.
