Leaders Cheltenham's National League title hopes suffered a blow after Wes York's last-gasp winner for Wrexham, who moved closer to the play-off places.
While second placed Forest Green Rovers were also to concede late as they drew 2-2 at Bromley.
Third placed Grimsby Town lost 2-1 to Macclesfield Town, while Tranmere Rovers moved up to 4th with a 2-0 victory against bottom of the table Kidderminster Harriers.
Speaking of the drop zone, there was late drama at Nethermoor Park as Guiseley and Chester drew 3-3 with Tom Shaw scoring with seconds to go for the visitors.
The teams who ended the day fifth and sixth both lost with Dover Athletic losing 3-0 to Boreham Wood and Braintree Town were defeated by Aldershot Town.
Eastleigh were also big winners with results elsewhere going their way they beat Torqauy United 1-0 and moved to just two points off a play-off place.
Altrincham moved back into the bottom four places after drawing against Southport, while Welling United gave themselves a small bit of hope with a win over Woking as they cut the gap out of the bottom four to eight points.
FC Halifax Town ended just a point and place outside the drop zone after losing at Barrow 4-1, while Lincoln City and Gateshead drew 1-1.
