Ogden Returns To Bluebirds In The Chief Scout Role

By Tom Feaheny

Ogden left the club early during the 2017/18 campaign but is now back in a different role.

Ogden resigned from his position as Barrow's head of football operations seven months ago due to personal reasons, writes Tom Feaheny.

The 70-year-old was appointed in August having previously held the role of chief scout, which is what he will be again.

Ogden managed his home town team, Leek Town, on six separate occasions over a forty year span. He also managed at Northwich Victoria, Kidsgrove Atheltic and Witton Albion and worked as a scout for Mansfield Town.

A statement read: "The club have brought back Paul Ogden to act as Chief Scout. With his extensive experience and football network, Paul will be involved in both player recruitment and in our search for the new manager.

"We will be working as quickly as possible given the importance of having a settled first team management team in place for pre-season, but must take our time to perform a thorough search to identify the top candidate.

"Similar to our player recruitment this summer, we will be looking for candidates who have the ethics and values that match ours as a club."
