Of Course We Can Win Our Last Seven Beams Boss Evatt

Barrow manager Ian Evatt isn’t kidding when he says his team can win their last seven fixtures.

The Bluebirds boss is determined to try and end the season with ten victories in a row.

Barrow are bang in form and have won their last three fixtures, including two impressive away day wins at top seven sides Wrexham and Eastleigh.

Now he wants to take 21 points from the last 21 on offer.

Should they do that, Barrow - currently nine points off the top seven - could still be in with a promotion shout.

“I have firm belief in my players,” said the former Chesterfield and Blackpool defender as he plotted a late surge.

“Why can’t we go on and win the last seven games?

“We have to have that aim and that ambition.
It’s all about mentality - you have to believe you can do it.

“If we don’t, we don’t - but we are going to give it a good go, I’ll tell you that.”

Barrow have certainly progressed since he took charge in the summer, not once struggling at the wrong end - a far cry from the past few seasons.

“It’s been an encouraging season in a lot of ways,” added Evatt.

“We have now won three times in a fantastic week of football and I’m really delighted with the boys.”
