Oates So Simple For Jimmy As Bulls' Boy Gets League Move

After a whole week without a National League to Football League transfer, the long wait is over!

A feature of the summer has been seeing our talented players step up the ladder.

Hereford’s Jimmy Oates may not have kicked a ball in the division in a Bulls shirt, but he has today joined Exeter City.

He spent three weeks with the Grecians on trial and has done enough to impress manager Matt Taylor and earn a deal at the League Two club.

Oates will be a big miss at Edgar Street as Hereford look for another promotion.

The National League North newboys have relied on the defender and he has powered them to three back-to-back titles.

Chairman Ken Kinnersley says this will be an emotional time for Hereford fans.

"He has been a fantastic ambassador and asset to this club, and he has been a major part in the success of the team during the past three seasons,” he said.

"Jimmy has conducted himself in an exemplary manner both on and off the pitch and his personal integrity has been demonstrated again in the open and honest way he has handled his move to Exeter City.”
