Boro boss Tommy Wright was at Stafford Rangers on Tuesday evening to see the Dabbers succumb to their third straight defeat with a 3-0 loss to leave them in the lower reaches of the Evo-Stik League Premier table.
They have won just once at home in the league this season, whilst they beat City of Liverpool 2-1 away in the first qualifying round and then overcame the challenge of Shepshed Dynamo 1-0 in the previous round.
“It’s fair to say that their form has dipped recently,” said Wright. “I’ve watched them a couple of times recently and they lost both games, but I am sure that they will come out fighting on Saturday.
“Form tends to go out of the window in this competition anyway, it will all be down to which team wants it the most.
“We did a professional job against King’s Lynn Town in the last round and we seem to be turning a corner now.
“Hopefully we’ll be able to show the same attitude to get the job here. It’ll be a tough test for us but I have every faith in the lads to get us through.
“We want the excitement of a Cup run and the feel-good factor that it generates not only for the club but the town as a whole”.
