Nuneaton Owner To Step Aside As Boss Ginnelly Takes Over

Nuneaton Borough have released a statement regarding the future of the club.

Owner Nick Hawkins is to leave with manager Jimmy Ginnelly now in control.

Boro are rock bottom of the National League North and the club are facing up to relegation.

The statement read: “Nick Hawkins has stepped down as owner of Nuneaton Borough with immediate effect.

“Having taken the club as far as he could, since taking control in the autumn, Mr. Hawkins has decided the future of the club would be best served in the hands of people from Nuneaton.

“The shares in Borough Leisure Ltd., the parent company of the club, will be held in trust by Manager Jimmy Ginnelly until new shareholders can be found.

“The club is completing a prospectus for interested parties and will be aiming to find 10 backers, who will take 10% of the shares each, for a rolling payment of £10,000 each season.

“The finer details will be available, upon request, to all interested parties.

“Mr. Hawkins will not be listed as a creditor and does not hold any director loans to be repaid.

“The club would like to thank Mr. Hawkins for his work and wish him the best for his future endeavours.”
