Nuneaton Look To Build On FA Cup Win

Having made Emirates FA Cup progress in their last game, Nuneaton Town will be looking to build on that tomorrow against a Southport side who suffered relegation from the Vanarama National League at the end of last season.

“Southport started the season really well, but injuries have played their part in recent results not being as good,” said Boro boss, Tommy Wright. “I am sure that they will be confident of getting back on track, but we go into the game in upbeat mood.

“Injuries have also hit us hard so far this season and I can honestly say that I’ve never known anything like it. Thankfully things are starting to clear up and we’ll have options for Saturday’s game, which has visibly lifted the group.

“Last weekend’s result left a positive feeling around the club and I want more of the same at the weekend, so I call on our supporters to get behind the boys and let’s start climbing this league”.
