Tom Blair's 85th-minute winner at York City moved his club back out of the bottom four.
They’re enjoying life on the road after some rough recent results in front of their fans but for say-it-as-it-is White, it will take more than a battle down the bottom to dampen his spirit.
That’s because every time things get tough, he remembers back to when he was talking his players through matches in the Crawley & District League Division Five.
Dorking’s incredible 20-year rise will always lift his mood but don’t think they’re going to roll over and let nostalgia take over as the battle to stay in the division heats up.
He said: "One thing you should learn about a team that's come as far as us is you should never write us off - never write us off.
“We can’t guarantee a part time team success at this level, what I can guarantee is that we will be the last men standing when it comes to trying. I’ve had so much support since Saturday.
“Those who follow us really get Dorking Wanderers. They know we’re not entitled over the past few years to be playing Notts County, Wrexham, or clubs like York City. We were playing Saltdean and PSV Offshore in division five of the Crawley League not that long ago.
“Where we have come from is remarkable, so I will be positive about the situation. Not many teams come to York City and leave with a win and a clean sheet and three points, so we’re very happy.”
With three great away wins from four, they’ll be pleased that this weekend they go to Kidderminster Harriers - even if their form is fantastic.
“If we can transfer our away form to home, we’ll be off and running,” White added. “But we love playing away at the minute so we’ll go there full of confidence.”
