Callum Maycock has joined former team-mate Josh Kelly at AFC Wimbledon as he makes the move to League Two.
The eight-goal midfielder was a key component last time out as the Moors were defeated on penalty kicks in both the Promotion Final and the FA Trophy.
It’s yet more evidence of the talent outside the Football League as Wimbledon win the race to land the 26-year-old.
It’s another big hole to fill for Andy Whing, weeks after the club said goodbye to Doncaster Rovers bound Joe Sbarra.
But fans have been given a boost as the club announced experienced stopper Laurie Walker will wear the gloves next season.
Dons boss Johnnie Jackson was delighted to get his signature and said: “Callum is an energetic, box to box midfielder with an eye for a goal.
“He has performed consistently well over the last few seasons with Solihull and is hungry to take his chance in the league.
“He wants to get on the ball and make things happen and loves to get forward, as seen by the eight goals he scored from midfield last season.”
