The Quakers’ fundraising activity has gone into overdrive as their supporters and directors pledge money to help the club build on and off the pitch.
Fans have previously raised money to help the Vanarama National League North club improve their playing surface - as well as to boost their budget.
But that’s not all. They raised over £38,000 earlier this season to build a stand which would see them eligible for promotion back to the top flight of Non-League football.
That has gone a stage further now, and £7,600 has been put forward for a roof on the new development - something that is sure to improve the atmosphere at Blackwell Meadows.
It has taken just ten days to raise that amount and it’s hoped the final total could each five figures by the time the collection stops.
Darlington’s next match is this Saturday when they face fourth place Brackley Town at home.
