November's National League South Monthly Award Winners Confirmed!

We’re thrilled to present the Manager, Player and the Volunteer of the Month to you - and, as you would expect, there are some very worthy winners.

Last season Ian Allinson was living in fear. He went home on many Saturday nights expecting his mobile to ring - and St Albans City to say their goodbyes.

It’s a good job the chairman didn’t pick up the phone!

The Saints’ start has been tremendous, and in November they not only took all the points at leaders Dartford but they also won at Eastbourne after seeing off Braintree.

Allinson is the Manager of the Month - and at least he has been able to really enjoy Strictly Come Dancing this year after getting home from matches!

When Jason Prior didn’t quite make the grade at AFC Wimbledon, he went in search of finding his love for the game again - and in search of goals.

His EFL dream didn’t quite take off but since leaving the Dons he hasn’t stopped scoring.

He is at home at Dorking and manager Marc White just seems to be able to get the best out of the predatory striker.

Last month, Prior stood tall. He helped the club to the top of the table after winning four out of five matches, including victory over title rivals Dartford.

He scored an amazing eight times in that spell - there really was no question about the destination of the Player of the Month award.

We love the Vanarama Volunteer of the Month award and it’s value has never been higher than in these Covid times.

It’s a St Albans City double as super fan Gary Cameron continues to go above and beyond.

During lockdown, Gary was furloughed by his employer so decided to put his spare time to good use.

He helped refurbish Clarence Park and even gave the toilets a massive upgrade - so there’s even better news for the soon-to-return Saints fans!

He has also been a “rock” helping to ensure protocols are followed so those supporters can come back through the turnstiles safely in the days ahead.

The club say he has been an amazing help - and has given the community a big lift.
