Nouble Makes Blues Move

Vanarama National League South club Bishop`s Stortford`s forward line has been strengthened with the signing striker Jon Nouble.

Described by Blues’ boss Gordon Boateng as a “powerhouse forward”, Nouble has spent the majority of his career with Dagenham & Redbridge.

The 20-year-old is 6’4” tall and started his career in the youth systems at Chelsea and Millwall before being offered a scholarship by the Daggers in November 2011 and joining the club’s academy programme in June 2012.

In the summer of 2013 he featured in two pre-season friendlies for the first-team before joining Ryman League Division One North side Thurrock on `work experience` in August.

He scored on his debut with the equaliser in the 3–1 defeat to AFC Sudbury. Two weeks later he scored the first in the 5–1 win over Harlow Town.

His final goal of the loan spell came in a 3–0 win over Felixstowe & Walton United in the FA Cup, Nouble returned to the Daggers in September having made eleven appearances scoring three goal.JN2

In November 2013, he joined Isthmian League Premier Division side Grays Athletic on loan for the rest of the season. He netted against Tilbury with his second touch after coming on as substitute and finished with nine goals in 32 games for the Essex side.

In April 2014, Nouble was offered his first professional contract with Dagenham, signing a one-year deal. He made his debut for the Daggers in May 2014, coming on as a substitute for Blair Turgott in the 3–2 away win over Cheltenham Town. He was also voted the Dagenham & Redbridge Academy player of the year award for the 2013/14 season.

In August 2014, after featuring in Daggers’ pre-season games, he joined Conference Premier side Welling United on a one-month loan In September 2014, his loan was extended with the club for a further month before being recalled by Dagenham in November 2014, having made 13 appearances for the club.

He subsequently joined Conference South side St Albans City on an initial one-month youth loan. He scored his only goal for the club in a 3–2 home defeat to Farnborough.

He returned to Dagenham in December 2014, having made seven appearances in all competitions for the club Later in the month he returned on loan to former side Thurrock of the Ryman League Division One North for an initial one month.

He made his second debut for the club against Heybridge Swifts in a 1–0 defeat. He scored in the 3–0 away win over Cray Wanderers with a delicate chip, in which turned out to be his final game of the loan spell, having made three appearances.

In January 2015, he moved out on loan again to former club Grays Athletic of the Isthmian League Premier Division on a one-month youth loan.

Following his release by Dagenham a year ago, Nouble joined Welling United but after an injury-hit season which saw the Kent side relegated, he’ll be looking to return to form with the Blues.

He’ll have the chance to show John Still and the Daggers what they’re missing when they visit the ProKit UK Stadium on Saturday, July 23rd, but before then Nouble will wear the famous blue & white stripes for the first time this Saturday when Stevenage are the visitors.

Boeteng has also signed former Royston Town midfielder Reece Dobson.

Dobson was one of the first to be named by Boateng as part of his new-look squad in June, but decided not to sign for the Blues then. However, he has since had a change of mind.

Dobson, 25, has played for Hertford Town and Takeley and has had three spells with the Crows.

In March 2015 Dobson left Royston to pursue a professional career with Norwegian club Flekkeroy after impressing during a recent trial and then re-signed last season when returning to this country.

However, Luis Morrison, who joined the Blues earlier this summer from Concord Rangers, has left the club without playing a competitive game.
